NEON & ART

2022 / OMO7 Osaka / OMO-White

2019 / breadworks TENNOZ / Briller Bread

In March 2019, They unveiled seven consecutive works "Briller Bread" at "breadworks TENNOZ". In December of the same year, They created a Christmas tree for HYATT CENTRIC GINZA TOKYO. NYT is making new proposals of neon.

1)Proposing a neon dimming system. (Basically, there was no concept of dimming neon lights until now.) With this, even in low-light bars and shops, the lighting is beautiful and gentle from morning to night without breaking the atmosphere. 2)We devised a special exhibition method (from Mr.Yamamoto's“little bird" 2014) that hangs neon directly from the wiring duct. A design that can be viewed from any angle of 360 degrees has become possible, and the design expression has been expanded. 3)We produced a "shadow of light" by lighting up neons using a spotlight. 4)Using the interior of the store, we propose reflections that resonate with various materials in the space, such as window glass and floors. Interesting is felt. 5)Proposal of exhibition method at touching distance. As a result, the neon craftsmen have made an inspection tour and have come to see a work. 6)Neon-specific "flashing" that occurs when video is shot through glass is also used as an advertisement. It defines the new neon appearance in the SNS era.
